When individuals interact there is always a possibility that a range of unpleasantness to hostility may occur. Organizations that acknowledge the prevalence of conflict and reinforce expectations on how to manage such situations have greater potential for healthy work environments. This presentation will review types, myths, and aspects of conflict. Participants will also complete an instrument and apply 5 approaches to conflict management.

Linda recently moved to the sunshine state from Chicago, Illinois. As a student, faculty, and administrator she has many years of experience in the education sector, including professor/instructor, University Program Dean, and Director of an Institute for Leadership and Professional Development. She has served at Florida Community College, Athens Technical College, Ivy Tech State College, University of Phoenix, and the University of Indianapolis.
